Why should I hire a marketer to build my website instead of just a developer?
A developer knows how to make a site function; a marketer knows how to make a site sell. Because of my background in conversion rate optimization, I don’t just focus on “pretty” layouts; I focus on the user journey, ensuring that every visitor is guided toward taking action.
What do I need to provide to get started?
To start, I typically need your brand assets (logo, brand colors), the text/images you’d like to include, and a clear idea of your primary business goal, whether that’s getting more phone calls, selling products, or booking appointments. If you’re starting from scratch, I can assist with copywriting and brand messaging as part of our strategy.
How long will it take to get my website up and running?
This depends on the amount of content/products that you have. Ideally the whole process shouldn’t last more than 3 weeks. Here’s how I break that down: First 2 weeks to get you a very strong version 1 based on our onboarding session, and an extra week to implement all the feedback that you’ll have for the first version, and preparing the website for launch.
Do you offer website maintenance as well?
Yes, I do. Typically a new website needs some re-adjustments based on customer data/feedback. With this in mind, I offer a 3-month free maintenance period to capture and implement all the feedback. Once the 3-month free maintenance period has expired, we can discuss a monthly maintenance fee based on your specific needs.
Does your website package include SEO?
Yes it does. Having a website is one thing, but having a website that works for you is a totally different thing. SEO is part and parcel of a successful website so I dedicate a huge chunk of the building process to work on SEO.
How long will it take for my website to rank on Google?
Once I have set up an SEO structure on your website, it’ll then be paramount for you to bump up your marketing activities to boost web traffic. The more consistent traffic on your website, the higher you will rank on Google. This can take anywhere between weeks to months. It primarily depends on how competitive the specific keywords on your website are.
Can I update the website myself once it’s finished?
Yes. I primarily build on WordPress, which is a user-friendly platform that allows you to make simple text or image updates without needing to write a single line of code. I also provide a walkthrough upon delivery to ensure you feel confident managing your new digital asset.
